Not everyone thinks Kanye West needs to rein in his attitude...in fact, Estelle (who sings "American Boy" with him), thinks more people should be so cocky.

"People say what they say about his ego, but he's very sure of himself and I think that's a great way to be," she told E! News at Belvedere's dinner party at Dakota, which was held in her honor. "I think more people should follow him, and be more cocky and more proud of their work."

She also wasn't surprised by his decision to close the VMAs tonight, despite him swearing that he'd never perform for MTV again after being shut out last year.

"I'm sure it was all planned," she said. "I think people want to see what he'll bring after all of that and I think they're going to be pleasantly surprised and happy with it."

Also getting a second chance to redeem herself after last year's VMA debacle: Britney Spears. The pop star is opening the show, but not performing per se.

The VMAs air tonight at 9 pm ET/PT.

Paris Hilton was all over the place last night. Before attending the Nylon party at the Roosevelt Hotel, she hit the Mondrian hotel for their relaunch party.

The Hilton heiress arrived with two girlfriends and was overheard saying she missed her boyfriend, Benji Madden.

Next up for Paris? Presenting at MTV's VMA awards on Sunday.

Her boy's band performs at the Idols and Icons VMA afterparty at the Chateau Marmont—so chances are, she'll be there, too. Someone's got a busy weekend ahead of her!

He may only be 6, but Romeo Beckham's already got more famous friends than we do.

When Posh threw him a costume party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Universal Studios yesterday, Heidi Klum, Gavin Rossdale and Geri Halliwell all came out with their tykes to celebrate. (New mom Gwen was probably home with baby Zuma.)

And while the kids dressed in costumes, Posh and Heidi dressed up, sporting high heels and dresses for the occasion.

Entourage, HBO's hit show about life in fast lane of Hollywood, had its season-five premiere party in New York City last night. Go figure.

All the cast, including Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier and Jeremy Piven, donned their finest to walk the carpet at the Ziegfeld Theater.

But Adrian had a little wardrobe malfunction. Seems someone forgot to remove the ink sensor from the Gucci suit he was sporting...if he has a stylist, they're probably in trouble.

Let's hope Kim Kardashian's dancing skills are better than her video-gaming ones.

Last night, she faced off with celeb blogger Perez Hilton at EA Sports Freestyle Facebreaker Launch Party at the Avalon.

The video game features celebrity avatars who fight each other for bragging rights. And Kim got the full K.O. treatment.

Also going virtual fist to fist last night: Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. Heidi's sis, Holly, was also in attendance with none other than Lauren Conrad's ex Doug Reinhardt.

"They were making out," says a source. Holly was overheard telling partygoers that it was her and Doug's first date.

Looks like The Hills are alive with sloppy seconds...or is it thirds?

Yesterday was a busy day for Jessica Simpson. After doing interviews all day at Santa Monica's Casa del Mar hotel to promote her new country album, Do You Know, Jess hit Beso with Ashlee for dinner...and another opportunity to shill her album.

Although Ash managed to avoid the pap frenzy out front, her older sister worked the photogs to her advantage.

As she hopped into her waiting SUV with mane man Ken Paves by her side, Jess blasted "You're My Sunday" (an ode to her boyfriend, Tony Romo, from the new album) for all the world to hear.

On Friday, the actress hit Las Vegas clad in an Empire-waist babydoll dress. She snacked on edamame instead of sushi or anything else raw at the grand opening of Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant and drank only nonalcoholic bevvies.

Later that evening, at Pure nightclub, the Desperate Housewives star sipped Fiji water as Wilmer Valderrama and the Hilton sisters did shots of Patrón.

While she did recently cop to putting on pounds for her character's storyline, all these signs seem to indicate Eva might be expecting.

After Kevin Federline picked up the kids Saturday, Britney Spears jetted to Las Vegas for the holiday weekend, where her photographer ex-beau Adnan Ghalib also happened to be enjoying himself.

After touching down in a private jet, Brit headed to the Mirage Hotel and Casino, where she and her entourage (including hairdresser Kim Vo) had a luxury villa with a private pool. But instead she chose to sun herself at the Bare Pool Lounge in the VIP area.

“She was in her bikini and looked awesome," an onlooker tells E! News. "She looked really thin and happy."

Britney also took in the hotel's Cirque du Soleil show, Love, on Saturday night with her bodyguard and her assistant Brett. But did she ever meet up with Adnan?

That was fast.

Less than nine months after opening the Vegas version of his 40/40 Club in the Palazzo, Jay-Z has sold the joint for an undisclosed amount.

There have been reports of problems since the place opened in January 2008. It struggled to open for New Year's Eve after reportedly failing inspection.

Disgruntled employees who were fired or resigned also complained to local media shortly after its opening.

The space will reportedly be turned into a sports bar by the hotel. But Jay's not down for the count yet—he still plans to open 40/40 Clubs in Chicago, Tokyo and Macau.
